RawArt Gallery represents young and emerging artists who work in diverse media, and promotes cutting-edge local and international art. The gallery is committed to providing a solid platform for its artists and to exposing their work to a global audience. RawArt Gallery maintains a strong curatorial agenda, perceiving the art gallery today as an active contributor to culture, both creatively and socially. Its exhibition program includes solo exhibitions by gallery artists, themed group exhibitions featuring work by artists from all over the world, as well as special events including performances, screenings, and other artistic events.
RawArt Gallery was originally established in 2005 as a small intimate meeting space near the old central bus station in Southern Tel Aviv. In 2008 the gallery moved to a 140-sqm space in the Kiryat Hamelacha industrial zone further south and began hosting exhibitions and operating in its current format. RawArt was the first gallery to settle in this area, which has since filled up with galleries and artist studios, becoming a mecca for contemporary art lovers.
In 2011, the gallery added a full-time curator to its staff and expanded its list to 15 emerging artists. Since then, the gallery developed a unique curatorial approach, establishing its reputation as one of Tel Aviv's leading and most interesting art galleries, known for presenting high quality, innovative, and uncompromising work. The exhibitions presented at the gallery have received excellent press reviews and critical acclaim over the years. Today, the gallery represents 19 local and international artists and continues to expand its global reach through art fair participation, special events, and collaborations.
