Born 1983 in Israel, lives and works in Tel Aviv.
Chen Cohen, born in 1983, is an interdisciplinary artist working in photography, video, installation and performance, living and working in Tel Aviv. A graduate of the Bezalel Academy of Art and Design MFA program (2017) and the Musrara Multidisciplinary School of Art’s photography department (2013), Cohen interned at the Maamuta Art & Media Center (Jerusalem) via the Underground Academy and was an active member of the Indie Communal Gallery for Photography and the Atlas 110 artists collective. In 2018 Cohen was awarded the Fresh Paint Art Fair “Curator” prize and theJerard Levy Award for encouraging creativity in photography by Israel Museum (2019-2020). In 2019 she participated in the Cité Internationale of Arts residency. In 2022 participated in the Westwerk Residency in Hamburg and is currently participating in the 2022-2023 Artport Residency program in Tel Aviv. Cohen has exhibited in several solo exhibitions as well as numerous group exhibitions. Her works are in the collection of the Israel Museum, The Tel Aviv Museum and in private collections in Israel and around the world.
