Rami Ben Nathan began his artistic journey at the Bezalel Academy in the early 1980s, but set it aside for a decades-long legal career, during which he co-founded one of Israel’s leading law firms. In 2017, he made a decisive return to painting, dedicating himself fully to his studio practice. Ben Nathan’s work centers on intimate subjects—self-portraits, domestic interiors, family, and memory—often reflecting his personal history and the collective wounds of Israeli society. His recent works revisit childhood landscapes such as Tantura and Ramat Shaul, transforming them into emotionally charged sites of remembrance.
