Born 1990 in Israel, lives and works in Tel Aviv.
Ron Asulin works as a sculpture and installation artist. Asulin enacts diverse or radicalized constructivist actions on industrial materials and objects from everyday reality, to produce narratives that are connected to the current political-economic-cultural reality. In his works, the material presence, actions, and means of display are exposed and thus questions of representation are replaced by questions of presence - what happened to the object before it was here?
Asulin holds a BFA degree from the Bezalel Academy of Art and Design, Jerusalem. Upon graduation he won the Ehud Elhanani Prize for Excellence in Creativity, and Josef and Ada Bolaffio prize for excellence in theoretical studies. His work has been exhibited in solo, duo, and group exhibitions in venues such as Van Leer Institute, Jerusalem, Barbur Gallery, Jerusalem, The Third Floor on the Left Gallery, Tel Aviv, Offnobank, Tel Aviv, and Atelier Shemi, Kabri.
