Born 1986 in Israel, lives and works in Tel Aviv.
Tal Bar On works mainly as a painter. Her works usually relate to painting as a medium and explore the tension between two opposites; sensual, direct, immediate and spontaneous expression on the one hand, analytic, thoughtful, mediated, edited, directed, formulated, articulated on the other hand.
Tal is a colorist, and passionate painter whose connection to the medium stems from the history of painting in art, as well as from the history of thought (mastering philosophical studies as well). Her paintings are based in color fields, ranging on the scale from figurative to complete abstraction.
Tal holds a BFA from Shenkar College, an MFA from Bezalel Academy of Arts and Design and an MA from the Department of Philosophy, Tel Aviv University.
