Sharon Glazberg

Born 1976 in Israel, lives and works in Israel.


Sharon Glazberg (b. 1976, Israel) is an artist and cultural entrepreneur. She creates in the Israeli and international art fields. Glazberg is a graduate of the Mandel Institute for Cultural Leadership and a graduate of Respiratory Therapy. She facilitates and leads initiatives that connect art and communities with various councils and organizations. She currently teaches art at the University of Haifa, Oranim College, and lectures in various settings throughout the country.

Sharon specializes in the connection between art and communities and is a co-founder of Zumoo - the Mobile Museum - a community-based museum. She established the community-based artist residency program at Zumoo and the Asif, the first social collection in the country. Glazberg exhibits solo shows in galleries and public spaces in Israel and abroad. She graduated with honors from the San Francisco Institute of Art Studies and holds a Master of Fine Arts degree with honors from the University of Haifa. She has won an America-Israel Foundation Fellowship, the Islip Museum Award in New York, and the Award for Excellence from the San Francisco Art Institute. She worked for three years under a Community Artist Fellowship from the Ministry of Culture, and won the Minister's Award in 2015. In 2019, she received a grant for an artist's book from the Mifal HaPais and in 2023 she won the Becky Dekel Award of Excellence.
